A lot of people think that Podiatry schools are fine financially and that there is nothing to worry about. Well a recent survey by Higher Education stated that 2/3 of College Presidents were concerned about their financial situation. This is a very serious issue. Now obviously most of the schools had forethought and are attached to much larger institutions such as Kent State or Temple. Obviously this will give those schools some leeway.
However what will happen if enrollment starts to tank? Listen a whole lot of health professions are front and center right now with the COVID outbreak. You know who is not front and center? Podiatrists. If you don’t think this is going to be very bad for enrollment, I don’t know what to tell you. The only silver lining is we are about to enter a recession or possibly a Depression. If that were to be the case some people may run to Podiatry School in an attempt to ride out the economic downturn. As I said this is a very rough time for the Podiatric establishment as well as the Podiatry Schools. They are in a fight to survive.

Yup, he’ll need to be taking it quickly on and off as he auscultates emergency minority toenail patients. Don’t they look like a bunch of physical therapy students? A correction to the above…………Universities that have a Podiatry College on campus do NOT support them ! The Podiatry college has to be self sustaining, which as the years have gone by prove that they can not survive. 400 applicants to 9 Podiatry colleges proves that. DPMs have killed themselves with their superior egos and less than stellar ethics. The ball game is over. How we can keep saying were the foot care experts when no one wants to go to Podiatry school except the kids who have a 2.87 GPA and embarrassing MCAT scores.

How can any podiatry student or foot apprentice read these blogs and compare them to Barry Block’s and then compare the 2 to the REALITY HE SEES AND READS IN THE NEWS and not realize who is telling the truth and who is an OUT RIGHT LYING CROOK?
