So the first doses of the COVID vaccine are going to be distributed first to health care workers. But the question remains, will Podiatrists be included in that bunch? Well we know that there will be Podiatrists that get in that line and get the vaccine. But really this vaccine is meant for health care workers treating COVID patients, which is clearly not Podiatrists. The question is how many Podiatrists are going to use the loophole to get vaccinated before high risk individuals and people that would benefit more from the vaccine. We do not know, but I encourage all non hospital based Podiatrists to do the right thing and not take the vaccine till available to the general public.
