Decreased reimbursement, limited services available to treat this small area of the body, a history of unscrupulous behavior and billing, fraudulent professional leadership…. the list goes on. No advancement of the profession since it’s founding under Dr. Danish, Chiropodist to Ben Franklin.

I think a big reason podiatrists are being sued more is that the public is FINALLY ABLE TO READ ABOUT JUST WHAT A PODIATRIST IS. When they read that they are NOT MD’S. When they read about their SALES INCENTIVES (BARRY BLOCK HAS A BIG AD ” START A NEW REVENUE STREAM WITH VANGUARD PHARMACEUTICALS, and writing competitions that MUST BE NON TECHNICAL and about Practice Management (that’s how to make money) and ethics ( that would be a short paper) and suitable for a LAY PUBLICATION (sell the story for money?), the patients realizes that they didn’t go to… Read more »
