As a current 2nd year Podiatry student, I started to smell something is not right. Too many statements made at the school without facts. I did apply to MD/DO school and did not get one interview so now at Podiatry School (I realized this year, its NOT Podiatric Medical school) I started to inquire about PA school. NO DICE. They do not recognize Podiatry school curriculum. NOT one course is transferrable. Looking at Caribbean and Mexico medical schools now and will go in a flash if accepted

Ann and Sarah started out with an idea. They were going to run a service to alert you to various podiatry and other meetings that you could attend. They also seem to have had the idea that they could assist you in maximizing the benefits, such as they were, while attending these meetings. Obviously this did not work out. Hey Guys ! Lets do what Podiatry did and make cash ! We start with the hand. We make a “professional school” for just the hand. We teach medical and surgical treatment of the hand. It would be a limited license. Advertise with pictures of students with scrubs on, stethoscopes and surgery. ( the Triple S advertising campaign). Have clinics at the schools to cut finger nails and treat ingrown nails. Charge BIG tuition because you will be a doctor ( DHM, Doctor of hand medicine). MORE BAD NEWS FOR PODIATRY. A recent “Kevin MD” commentary questioned whether MD’s stop using the DOCTOR title because it has been co-opted, diluted, and weakened by so many NON MD’s using it to confuse the PUBLIC. He recommends several things to separate the MD’s from the fakes. He uses the term INDEPENDENT PRACTIONER (I.P.) to indicate the provider does NOT NEED PERMISSION OR REVIEW BY A HIGHER AUTHORITY. What do you mean where is Podiatry headed? Few applicants to the Podiatry colleges and low reimbursement for Podiatry services with a huge debt for graduating students, I would say it is all done.

I understand the reviling of the POD POST by students, residents, and recently hired technicians. Of course their trajectory is FIXED.
