Look at how organized and coordinated the PA organizational structure is ! Compared to the APMA they are newcomers. Here they are, acting to change state regulations. And what has the APMA done ? Nothing ! Nothing ! Nothing ! Gee, maybe we should hire the AAPA CEO ? Oh wait a minute ………We have James Christina and his predecessor and Krause and King and Frisch and the rest. Why would we ever change. You are a sucker to pay the APMA. They have for years accomplished nothing. Nothingthat is, but enrich themselves. Maybe Jeffrey Lehrman can give them a lecture on the difference between trimming or debriding toenails. After all, the Physician Assistant (soon to be Associate) should know what a podiatrist should be doing.

After 7 years of PODIATRIC education….you cannot even treat strep throat, if you have an IQ over 70 that should tell you everything about Podiatry. Podiatry can only copy main stream medicine to try to make itself look legit BUT time has caught up with Podiatry. This post is not for the weak of heart ( the woke, snow flakes, DEI crowd etc etc). Has anyone noticed the number of women in the Podiatry college classes? Has anyone noticed the number of middle easterners?
Has the APMA noticed that the number of applicants to Podiatry College has STEADILY declined? ( and not just a small decline but a sizable decline) Who will be left to market to when women and middle easterners stop applying? Maybe the APMA will market to prisoners, if you can become a jail house lawyer why not a jailhouse Pod?
Foot Schools are BUSINESSES. They’re TRADE SCHOOLS AND A CUSTOMER IS A CUSTOMER. AS LONG AS THEIR CHECK CLEARS their sex or homeland doesn’t matter. Money is the great equalizer. The only loyalty a quack college has is to make payroll for the administrators and flunky faculties.

PODIATRY IS ELECTIVE! As such, it doesn’t have the urgency or necessity to be serious and fully competent. PA’s aren’t kidding around. THEY, unlike dpms’, treat full systemic diseases. They truly have people’s lives in their hands. Podiatrists are forbidden to treat systemic diseases or even give immunization injections because their education is inferior, even though they call themselves “dr”. Podiatry is not elective in the case of an ingrown infected toenail.
Untreated, in the patient with PVD one can end up with an osteomyelitis and
perhaps gangrene etc… I am guessing that most podiatrists have the patient lie
down so as to not have the inguinal ligament press on the femoral artery and they
palpate the popliteals as well as pedal pulses to ultimately determine any
arterial blockages and the need to refer to a vascular specialist.
It appears many dp wtfs are extremely prone to blanket cognitive dismissals of reality to themselves and the poorfession (overt, announced psychological denial on grounds of . . . ad hominem [no grounds i.e. a purely emotional revulsion at the idea of considering the evidenced-based argument]) and suspect it’s because most dp wtfs are emotionally and financially wedded to the outer boundaries of the ‘podiatrick Overton window’ and intervene where necessary only when it helps their financial gain. You are quite correct. So surprising many pods including a few herein this board don’t seem to know this simple truth. Being in denial, maybe? Or reality adverse? First of all, there is so much to learn in medicine one cannot possibly know how to treat every problem in detail in every specialty. As far as the specialty of podiatry, I am guessing most podiatrists are concerned with ruling out kidney, liver, cardiac causes for an edematous foot. I am guessing that most podiatrist contact the patients primary and ask the patient to bring in their lab results to give an opinion as to the cause of an edematous foot. Avoid the MIDDLEMAN. Go to a DOCTOR from the very beginning. Why go to a NON MD and hope he refers you before he milks your insurance dry.. (pseudo incomplete dopplers, possibly blood tests that he can’t treat for or interpret properly. Finally you said something truthful: Paying ones bills is sometimes problematic.
