You probably think that is weird. Why would a Podiatrist be involved in that…..well it involves the Medicine Shoppe. If the Medicine Shoppe rings a bell that is because it advertised in various Podiatric newsletters and sponsored conferences. In fact many Podiatrists promoted it, speakers even. But like all Podiatry scams the leaders of the scams get off scott free while the rubes they conned end up in jail.

Spot on. The last podiatry “show” (CME conference) I attended had at least four of these “compounding” pharmacies in the vendors area. There was a podiatrist at one of these booths telling me how much I could make. Totally disgusting. I googled “compounded pharmacy double blind studies”… nada, nothing, crickets. This shit doesn’t work. Period. I’ve used transdermal verapamil for planatar fibromatosis, with mixed results. And that was through a pharmacy, not me- in other words, I sent the Rx. and that was that. Otherwise, I’m not going there. Podiatry was run by True Believers. They swallowed the pill and believe. They have to as they are spiritually, ontolgically, and intellectually empty.
Like the us empire, podiatry was a religion. It does not matter if you give them a biblio and tons of other references—when reality meets myth, myth wins. Onward and downward!
