One of the unfortunate aspects of the COVID 19 shutdown will be the increase in Medical Malpractice cases that will happen to Podiatrists and regular medical doctors as a result of the COVID 19 Pandemic. Most of these medical malpractice cases will most likely not even be related to the Coronavirus. The fact is this country is about to enter a recession which will lead to a lot of these malpractice cases regardless if anybody does anything wrong. We have evidence from the last Great Recession in 2008:

Heck there are even articles about how to avoid Medical malpractice cases during a recession:

Here is an article literally stating people are suing for Medical malpractice because of the recession:

One of the things doctors and Podiatrists have to realize is that this recession is not only hurting patients that could and have likelihood to sue, but lawyers are also struggling financially. Lawyers are going to need money and how do Lawyers get money? They sue for malpractice.
But, the other issue is doctors and Podiatrists are also in a cash crunch. Many are going bankrupt and some took PPP loans. What does that mean? It means a lot of Podiatrists and doctors need to get a cash influx quickly. How will Podiatrists go about getting that cash influx? My guess is that a lot of Podiatrists are about to do a lot of surgery they would not normally do. They are going to push the envelope. People that were borderline surgical candidates are going to be getting surgery. Podiatrists will be doing surgical procedures they might not be trained in as much as they should. This is going to end up with mistakes and bad results.
It is clear the perfect storm of Podiatric Malpractice is coming and I am not sure there is anything anyone can do about it.

I’m OLD, and like a lot of old people entropy has had its way on my physiology. I don’t know when it started, or how, it just did, and suddenly, YOU’RE the old guy! Can’t believe it. Don’t want to be it. But, we are all on a conveyor belt rumbling towards the end. Some sooner than they think. When you look back on life all the material things become less important. The people and principles you stood for are the sentinels you see, as are Forks in the road you (or chance) steered you to. To me, there are… Read more »
Other than money, what was Harry’s value system? For what purpose Did he live?
My guess is that a lot of Podiatrists are about to do a lot of surgery they would not normally do. They are going to push the envelope. People that were borderline surgical candidates are going to be getting surgery. Podiatrists will be doing surgical procedures they might not be trained in as much as they should. First of all, podiatrists do not need to be formally residency trained to perform surgical procedures with excellent results. Secondly, I believe it is morally wrong to push patients into surgeries just for economic gain. When one enters this field the main goal… Read more »
“do not need to be formally residency trained to perform surgical procedures with excellent results”. This is an important point. For decades and decades many podiatrist NEVER had any more than quack school or “on the job” training assisting and watching others. Historically, many of the BIG SHOT carpenters had 1-2 years at most and many of THEIR directors had 0 years. The MANUAL MECHANICS of foot carving does not require INTERNAL MEDICINE COGNITIVE CEREBRATION, yet the ACFACS members are considered ‘THE’ peak of podiatry. This myth needs to be dispelled. WE DON’T NEED HALF ASS PRETEND PODIATRIC ORTHOPEDIC FOOT… Read more »
Well, podiatry is certainly familiar with lawsuits. Some look at it as the price “to do business”. So who’s gonna care? Make the money, smile, and double talk to keep the expenses down. I wonder, what if podiatrists didn’t do (what they call) “surgery”? The rest is so minor the malpractice would be around chiropractor level. Up in Canada SUGEET GUPTA and the other 22 non doctors are opening back up for business doing “wound care” and “ORTHOTIC FITTING”. Hell, if they mess up non medical stuff like that they deserve to be sued. You would think that after 40… Read more »
Wengjaay was delusional and a jr lifer’s lifer. Brain washed lackey. Ask Danny Boy, he still writes in asking for “help” from the shyster propagandists. He has been “punched in the face” so many many times by podiatry that it’s sickening, yet still goes back for more abuse. Talk about podiatric stockholm syndrome.
I believe Wenjay Sung did a fellowship under that Lowell While, Jr. crook in Chicago. And Barry Block loves Lowell While, Sr. If there are two crooked podiatrists that Barry Block is infatuated with, I would have to say it is Lowell While Sr. and Hal Ornstean. Pathetic Barry Block, indeed. Anyone that attended law school and chose to become a publisher of the Podiatric National Inquirer is pathetic.
Where else can you touch and show pictures of ladies shoes without being institutionalized?
Doesn’t anyone of his “regulars” comment about his odd obscession with girl shoes, and funny high heels? Or are they into that too? or have lock jaw and dont want to rock the dp wtf boat?
I am surprised Elliott Udell, DPM never has written in to PM commenting on the silly shoe pictures every single day. Does Elliot’s elevator not go to the top floor ?
It just goes to show how empty and clueless most americans/pods were; how most of them were on autopilot, living lives that can only be called stupid, vapid, and meaningless. Shoe pics, how to code to bilk insurances, which 89 yo pody died, and what shoulda dos?
Do you think Harold that shyster barrister would ever stop posting silly shoe pictures ? Does he even care how detrimental it is to post those outrageous pictures and make podiatry appear like a fool?
Is that all he does?
