How many seminars or lectures have podiatrists or their organizations conducted regarding the medicine and science of corona virus ?

True to form, there are already companies that allow podiatrists to order Covid-19 test kits where you can bill for a profit above costs.
Well who can argue with increased screening ? It’s a good thing. Even if the motive is less than honorable.
Podiatry plays no role in this pandemic. Nor should it. No medical school training.
Non-ACGME residencies where the training standards are whimsical, based upon the likes or dislikes of the residency director.
A Covid toe registry for no purpose. The real doctors are making life and death decisions. Serious stuff. Real serious stuff.
Not the PM News stories about podiatrists dragging dead bodies to the morgue.
Or asking student or low level nursing questions to screen and refer the patient to a real doctor.
Podiatry can extrapolate and fantasize all they wish. They may assist with non Physician jobs.
But podiatrists are not real doctors caring for real illness. Podiatry is good at mastering coding and billing during a crisis.
They are not pilots, they are luggage loaders.

You know podiatry is kinda like the ad above for Concealed Carry Permits. As a multi year permit holder myself lets examen the statement. 1.Take Test 2. Submit documents 3.GET PERMIT & Carry Legally. It’s what’s NOT SAID that’s important. Step 3, Get Permit is NOT PREDICATED SOLEY on 1 &2 . 1&2 only allows for the beginning of the long process of “getting permit” which has many many more steps. You may not get the ‘match’ desired, ie., optho, rads, etc…Some USIMGs are nixed immediately (especially the Caribbean grads)—You used to be able-still can-to transfer if you are stellar, and take commands. The ‘match’ changed with pass-fail test scoring. Lots of folks do research and kiss ass—unlike podiatry where ass-kissing- can get you butt lip.
