Oh and also a lecture on OTC antifungals. You know, like the ineffective crap podiatrists sell in their offices. Well the FIDSA man has sold (I mean lectured for) everybody’s crap, including lasers previously. So why not another few bucks for old time sake. And shockingly, the lecture is corporate sponsored. Not a bad deal for a guy who has not practiced “in how most any years” ? He should get the Doc Doc Dockery award for lectures given by people who have not treated a patient forever. Many times we are compared to optometrists. Not so. Eyeglasses work and are necessary. Not the same with orthotics ( arch supports). We have real emergencies. Sometimes those thick nails hurt when you are wearing dress shoes. How about those ingrown nails? I mean P& A’s. We used to have busy seasons, especially when the senior citizen ladies were getting ready for their winter trip to Florida. Well, at least I didn’t have 2 more years to “rub elbows” with REAL DOCTORS and learn to think I WAS JUST LIKE. I begrudeingly accepted I was a PODIATRIST NOT A DOCTOR.
