So anyways you might have missed this during lockdown for there is a no treatment for ingrown toenails. This new treatment is getting popular with nail techs to prevent ingrown toenails. It’s called “Onyfix” and it originates from Germany.
Recently a Podiatrist by the name of David Zuckerman held a webinar to promote Onyfix. What is Onyfix?
It’s a compound paste that spreads on the nail and then hardens. The idea is this paste straightens the nail plate as it grows. And it only takes 8 months. Dr. Zuckerman actually refers to it as a “gamechanger” for ingrown toenails. Though to be fair, he hails everything as a “game changer” as long as they make him the middle man to take a little off the top. Zuckerman’s exact words in the webinar: “You don’t need to do studies” (it’s like a balance brace only better). A person at the webinar asked for outcomes studies and was ignored.
