So Podiatrists are now offering Rapid COVID Testing at their office. Most of them are advertising like this:
https://tohealthyfeet.com/blog/COVID-19+Antibody+Testing+Available/23
Now the antibody testing is only 70% sensitive. I am sure the Podiatrists are mentioning this when they are testing people. What they are probably not mentioning is the scope of practice in their state.
You are probably wondering how do Podiatrist go about acquiring Antibody testing for COVID 19. It’s actually not hard. There area bunch of places you can purchase the test from like this place below:
It’s probably a good hook for patients too……Again whether it’s legal or not is another issue.

Maybe some huckster DPWTFS can offer bowel cleansing too for a buck? Or likely it’s out of (dermato) scope?
Podiatrists can’t treat systemic conditions and humoral medicine (antibody titers etc.) are out of scope for the orthotic shoe insert pseudo doctors. Podiatry school is not medical school. Podiatry school is not nursing school. Podiatry school isn’t P.A. school. Of the 3 schools mentioned, ONLY PODIATRY SCHOOL de emphasizes the entire body or systemic conditions. Med school, nursing school, and PA school, treat the ENTIRE BODY because they’re primarily trained in the entire body.

If podiatry represents only 26mm of anatomy to “play” with, then they should charge that fraction of the human body for their tuitions. ~26mm for the footy, and 152 mm entire body, so, that’s ~17% of the human body. pody school is ~55K per year. So, pay em 9.3K a year. Any comments Danny Boys?
Now that’s a good argument. Why pay full retail for a Wholesale education?
Meant cm obviously.
Don’t worry, Dr. Toots. Daniel Chaskin would not know the difference between a mm or cm.
Is he practicing, doing podiatry? Is he trying to beat the 87yo record?
