It is not surprising that Mark Block is the first to complain about the recent changes at the APMA. Hopefully, these changes were not motivated by the need to reduce the budget. We can hope the new executive director has discovered the self serving actions of the APMA, the ineffectiveness of the APMA, and the failure of the mission of the APMA. Radical changes are and have been needed. In my opinion the Florida State Podiatry Society is no different in manifesting the corruption and self serving actions of the APMA. Dr. Block is and has been part of the problem in my opinion. Not a surprise that he is a chip off the old block as they say. Radical Elon Musk style changes are needed at the APMA and state societies like Florida, which have contributed to the current state podiatry finds itself in. Presumably the new Executive Director / CEO has the insight and capability to recognize the poor advice on podiatry she is likely receiving from the current and past BOD members. These people have manipulated the APMA and state component societies for self enrichment and power for years, all at the expense of the general membership. All with the blessings of the last two executive directors. Radical changes are and have been long overdue, including the Florida podiatry society. Funny how PM news has nothing to say about the APMA changes. Or maybe not so funny huh ?

1) Ancestors of podiatrists and like allied helper “foot imperialists”. There isn’t question about that. If you would place 10-14k random dp wtfs, they would continue to do what they always do. They cant help their sick and criminal genetics. They can’t help themselves. They are sick people. dp wtfs like danny dipshitskins and co will also be pathologically loyal to their owners: president, king or government, their “profession”, making them and their families foreign agents working for podiatry entities. People do not realize how they slowly creep into a society while being loyal to their foot governments, being ready… Read more »
Well, you’ll probably be surprised to hear me say this. I agree with “not increased” except for one thing and I almost can’t believe I’m writing this. I believe in all the above except that I believe that THERE IS a population of podiatrists who know who they are, accept that they’ve been rejected from Medical School (not because of inability or incompetence but because of physical admission restrictions), who TRY TO BE HONEST, MEDICAL, AND STRIVE FOR IMPROVEMENT. I’d say this is 1/3 to possibly as high as 1/2 of the podiatrists. These men are the ones who gave… Read more »

If you are a chihuahua and you play a Doberman for many years on TV, you can forget you are actually a chihuahua. This can lead to much delusion and denial when the director calls off the production.
Think about that podlings.
Where they participants in the special Olympics?

In the picture … lol
Mirkin’s got that ‘PODIATRY SMILE’. It’s all business
That smile, and that wife, are they that old OR living “life” of lies and therefore badly aging?
Yes things are going well. Nobody sending in applications to attend podiatry school. APMA undergoing significant turnover with the new ED/CEO who is not one of the good old boys. Podiatry meeting.com advertising a seminar on pes cavus run by a C.Ped. PM magazine running complaints about toenails being cut by nurses. Continued publications in PM news from people who have either lost their license to practice or are under investigation by their state boards. Whackos running loose in the profession. NP’s, PA’s, MD’s, DO’s, PT’s, DC’s and the good feet stores and similar stores all moving into the foot… Read more »
Will last podiatrist turn off your dremel..,
Sybly it is important to be positive and smile during these stressful times. Life is short. Let’s laugh and help our patients as podiatrists. Please consider giving a donation to the wonderful APMA and NYPMA.
Podiatry truth is 2 clicks away. Non one with an IQ greater than 70 would even apply to podlietry “school” unless your daddy is a dp wtf or you don’t have access to the intranet. Practice limited to those without the intranet and or those with NO common sense, NO critical thinking skills.
Don’t forget the token diverse awake joke minority getting a scholarshit to p stool/school or some Israeli pod getting another meaningless ‘award’….
The toenail concerns continue in PM News. If we don’t cut toenails who will ? My questions: 1. Did you go into podiatry to be a toenail cutter? Did you? 2. If you are a toenail cutter do you realize that an upscale pedicurist is paid way more than you are by Medicare or Medicaid to cut toenails? Does that bother you? 3. 7 post-graduate years to cut toenails? (Roth Mania) 4. Do you grind down thick toenails and smooth the rough edges? (BAKO send me some samples disorder). 5. Are you at all ashamed to call yourself “doctor” cutting… Read more »
No NO NO HALLUX GUY. You’ve got it all wrong. We new young 3 year “residency” trained DOCTORS are surgeons and infectious disease experts. You must be thinking of the “old podiatry”. We’re “just like” and can make a great living without picking up a nail cutter. We’re proud of our DPM. (wtf) The APMA has ensured our acceptance into the mainstream and that’s why we gladly support them with our money. D.O.’s wish they could be SURGEONS! like us. They just do that “family practice thing”. How boring. Diabetes, sore throats, heart disease. Nope. Give me a good rear… Read more »
First of all cutting toenails is important to the patient with a painful ingrown toenail. I am glad I help patients. An idea to increase scope for podiatrists that are non surgical that want to treat the ankle in States such as NYS. Perhaps if a DPM went back to school and got a nursing degree they could continue their education to become a nurse practitioner! They could treat toenails, the foot and also the ankle and above as well as systemic diseases with a physicians supervision in states such as NYS. The DPM degree will also offer certain benefits.… Read more »
If Mr. Chaskin is used as a sample of the sophistication of thinking in podiatry it’s NO WONDER THAT LEGISLATORS KEEP MEN LIKE MR. CHASKIN FROM PLAYING DOCTOR. Please see a psychiatrist and tell him about you and your friend Barry Block’s love for stress relief by looking at shoe pictures. Get this guy out of the trade asap!
How’s Bako doing? How’s his $15 mill from that toenail biz?
Does he still live in the 7000 square foot mansion in Georgia? What happened to the Whet- Rhet “foundation”? More bullshit?
He walked away with 30 million or so. Dissappeared . Huge house not surprising. Gated Predictable. Who knows what happened to the ‘rhetts foundation’. One can potentially make a shit ton with toenails and all those “pathologies”…Ooh boy. He’s kinda like a zelinskyys-another scumbag
Identify and get these dirty men out of podiatry! Where are the schools? Where’s the APMA? Where’s Barry Block? (Blame Barry) I’m ashamed to be in a profession that looks the other way and does nothing to distance itself from “da business”. That “big city”, NYawk City type mentality is BAD for a GOOD profession.
I’m sorry. There is no hope for podiatry as I read the mentally ill PM News blog. When you have stupid twisted thinkers like podiatrist Whelan calling for FOOT CARE ASSISTANTS AND COMPARING THEM TO DENTAL HYGENIST YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A SHALLOW THINKER. WIKIPEDIA says there are about 200,000 DDS IN THE US. Ok. There are, at best, 15,000 pods. What kind of job security or opportunities exist for Foot Care Assistants to service such a small number of pods? Are schools going to be built to teach foot quackery at near minimum wage? Comparing Foot Care Assistants to… Read more »
There was never any hope for podiatry. It comes from the us empire.
Most are utter buffoons and turkeys. That’s why it failed.
Gee, sounds like a DIRTY PROFESSION with cultist controllers LYING TO THE MEMBERSHIP. (in this case “membership” = insecure enough to send $$ for protection)

Slimy podiatry politicians. I read their tax FORM. Foot prez, about a half a million/yr! Girl pod, Towers, about 175 grand, and what’s with WALLNER at about $144,000+34,000=about 178 grand. If I recall, when I sparred with him years ago I believe HE SAID HE WAS NOT A LAWYER. (unless he went to law school since) I believe he said he was just a PARALEGAL! Yet, the APMA made him SENIOR DIRECTOR FOR LEGAL ADVOCACY??! NICE PAYING GIG, IF HE’S JUST A PARALEGAL. I vaguely recall he was a Barry Block goombah. Yes, dirty podiatry is a one party dictatorship… Read more »
Mark is a piece of dogsht
Barry Block is an awesome editor and is appreciated.
You must be mimicking Chaskin!
was and is a propagandist shyster. Even his black (dyed) hair was fake. Fake life.
Tell it like Trump would say! Ha ha!
Perhaps if a DPM went back to school and got a nursing degree they could continue their education to become a nurse practitioner! They could treat toenails, the foot and also the ankle and above as well as systemic diseases with a physicians supervision in states such as NYS. Or assist podiatrists in the care of their patients. The DPM degree will also offer many certain benefits. One benefit as a NYS DPM, you may qualify to spend your money to join the wonderful NYSPMA and APMA and attend their awesome meetings. You can also contact PM News and ask… Read more »
