This is an incredible story. It took place in Australia and it is a one and a million shot. But how did they not take his socks and shoes off and see this? PODIATRY RESIDENCY …….if you want to learn surgery you better find patients…..thats the words of many “residency directors.” A legitimate ACGME hospital would not allow this free for all to occur. My program was not at an ACGME hospital, so us POD residents had the run of the place. In other words we did what we wanted to do as long as pod clinic was covered. We did surgery on anyone…..
