A cognitive psychologist ……… Yes, you read that correctly.
Forget that the APMA always retains advisors, consultants, etc. that will endorse whatever the APMA wants to do with your dues money.
(ie. see search committee for the moron now called the executive director). Probably someone’s relative. Forget that.

As a first year student at a Podiatry college I do not wish to expose ( yet). This raw raw about soon we take the USMLE and we will be physicians, I did some checking. This Podiatry college is one GIANT LIE ! And I am getting out of a dying profession. I just can’t accept this is it. When I was in younger, I used to hang out with friends, family all the time, go for walks, drinks, play basketball. Hello recent. Straight talk here. Podiatry is ending for private practice. Soon to follow will be the Podiatry groups. The best scenario going forward for a podiatrist is being employed, thats it. But you didnt do all this schooling to work for somebody, an employee is an employee. Look for something new and rewarding, The profession of podiatry is splintered, has no future and will not pay you what you deserve to be paid.
Marry wealthy, get an inheritance, choose “better” parents, choose your birthplace better, or win the lotto.

Thanks for the thought “17” but it’s too late at my age. I have a son, grandchildren and a life partner here. Should not have come back to NY but it was “home”. Biggest mistake was not to go overseas when I was accepted to FM schools and the next biggest mistake was coming back to NY. NY is a socialistic cesspool where pod laws are STILL very restrictive and fees are low and lawyers plentiful. Even Block is a “lawyer”. Seems like every other person in NY is a lawyer!
