Can you believe that so-called doctors are so stupid that they require yet another lecture on this topic of nail trimming versus nail debridement? Is this a major issue in Podiatry?
Here’s another good one “for different codes that you could use for routine foot care.” Toenails and calluses. That is the APMA. This is Lehrman and Kesselman in a nutshell.And again people will pay to attend this, and apparently are so stupid that they are not even embarrassed by attending these lectures. Take a look at this program. Lehrman and Kesselman, making money, hand over fist, giving the same lectures at meeting after meeting with the blessing of the APMA. Neither one has or had a successful practice. Think about that for a second. They make their money sucking off of you guys like the parasites that they are. And when you think about parasites, of course you think about the APMA. Mutual coexistence. This is really sad. Same topics and same speakers year after year with the same intellectually challenged Podiatrists sitting in the room listening to this crap. This is all the APMA has to offer you. Absolutely pathetic, absolutely embarrassing. Absolutely the APMA.
Getting back to the topic, Kesselman and Lehrman (what’s with all the “mans”?) don’t care a wit about medicine. They’re NY business lovers who wanted to use podiatry to make money. My whole issue with podiatry is that it’s sold to students as a way to be a surgeon and that’s what people cling onto, only for you to later find out you won’t be doing much surgery which by then you don’t care because you’ve also found out it doesn’t even pay much money to do surgery. Well, the big Sx board is under attack and their MONOPOLY is not so assured. Podiatrist Siddiqui brings back the MIS controversy (at least 50 years of contention) saying new BURRS are safer. One of the most common differences between the open and closed cliques is that the ACFAS “open” group claims burrs rip up the tissue. There are reasons to pay dues and join the APMA. If one pays dues this is a step needed to join for many podiatrists in practice. There are meetings where a podiatrist can meet other podiatrists, make friends and we can have fun learning about podiatry. It is important to pay dues so one can qualify to become a member. First of all, learning about topics such as mycotic toenail treatment is important. Think of all the patients with this condition. Also learning about our of scope conditions such as ankle treatment in NYS we cannot get licensed to treat may be important. After all a podiatrist has the option to move and get licensed in another state such as New Jersey or Florida. Podiatrists should consider the important step of paying dues to qualify for membership.
