Time to put your shoes on backwards and take one step forward into the past.  Fungus toenails.  What ? 

Topicals don’t work ?  OMG !   Say it ain’t so. 

For how many years did the so called “leaders” in podiatry “infectious disease” or podiatry “dermatology” lecture to you about the benefits of topicals ?  For a fee of course. 

And for how many years has the APMA shoved fungus toenail lectures up your ass as the “official APMA lecture” ?  All for a fee. 

And for how many years have YOU been selling unproven topical horseshit for onychomycosis to make $5 – $10.  

And whatever happened to those miracle lasers that those same “academics” lectured were the divine intervention from the curse of fungal toenails. 

And don’t forget the shoe sterilizers.  Antifungal toenail polishes.  It goes on and on.  Fact is, this crap does not work.  Never did.  Never will.

BUT you pay off the self identified and self proclaimed “thought leaders” (such as they are in podiatry), you pay off the APMA, you pay former APMA presidents to lecture, and whatever nonsense you want to sell is off and running.

This is why podiatrists are limited by law in the damage they can inflict.  Podiatrists do not require science, they require profit.  They are low hanging fruit.

Industry knows that a check to the APMA executive director, paying a so called dermatology expert, or necktie less infection expert and throw in a free meal for the peasants, and you have hired salespeople for your product in thousands of offices.  Proof of efficacy ?  None required.  Proof the check will clear ?  Mandatory.
