Are Nail Salons going to be prioritized over Podiatry Practices for PPP bail outs?
A woman leaves an empty nail salon in the South Boston neighborhood of Boston, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms. For some, it can cause more severe illness, especially in older adults and people with existing health problems. (AP Photo/Charles Krupa)

Are Nail Salons going to be prioritized over Podiatry Practices for PPP bail outs?

A lot of Podiatrists have applied for SBA and PPP loans to help sustain their Podiatry practices. The fact is that there are probably going to be Podiatrists that are rejected for PPP Loans while Nail Salons get their loans approved. Now, it’s unclear what the criteria being used is, but if one of the criteria is employees then Nail Salons may take precedence. It would be funny that the Nail Salon down the corner that a Podiatrist has slammed for years would get the money the Podiatrist needs to survive.

A lot of wtf’s in my area work out of converted HOUSES so they have something to fall back on when they can’t work on feet anymore. These houses are an embarrassment . Instead of professional buildings they have large chintzy signs on the lawn with PODIATRIST in big letters. There are 6 chairs (at least) in May Wong’s/ Think of all the nails, supports, unnecessary x rays (you MAY have a subungual exostosis) lost to the wtf tech down the street. Pretty oriental girls who can talk… Read more »

It’s a loan that may, might, contigent, etc. There’s no free lunch unless you’re a podiatrical “leader”. then the dues paying practicing imbecilic pods pay for it.

True story fellas, A couple young Podiatrists in my community applied Day 1 for the Government money and never saw a penny! One with Chase and one with Wells Fargo. They got word that they were never even considered for the money. The beautiful Oriental gal with the big nail salon with all the gals working there, already 100k check in her Lois Vuitton bag while she drives around town in her Lexus. I was told even though the money was forgivable the Podiatrists were still a little to shady to be trusted? 3 Dentists, a swim coach, an OBGYN… Read more »
