Domino effect for Podiatry. As private practices disappear, the DPM runs to a larger group /corp. Soon the large group/corps will start to fail. ( Expenses will surpass income). The employed DPM will have to take a salary cut. Some will run to an ortho group and become employees.and soon the number of Pod schools will start to close as enrollment is dropping very fast. Too small a profession to be relevant in healthcare. Wound care will only save you for so long as other healthcare providers take over and the reimbursement for wound care is already being cut.
