Let’s see now. A podiatrist from Pennsylvania writes into PM News lamenting about and confused by the refusal of his state to allow a D.P.M. to administer vaccinations.
He is confused by the fact that pharmacy students may provide the vaccinations which he is prohibited from administering.
Barry Block also displays a photo of a N.Y. podiatrist, like a nurse, giving a vaccination. By N.Y. law, he does so under supervision.
In some states dentists are now permitted to administer vaccinations. Unsupervised by the way.
Confused ?
1. The D.P.M. degree has no standing. Actions speak louder than words. The D.P.M. degree is not recognized at the collegiate level.
Go ahead. Try to obtain credit transfer for the D.P.M. degree. Sorry Charlie only the best tuna are Starkist tuna. Actions speak louder than words.
2. Your APMA leadership has been too busy making money for ventures such as TALAR medical. Or for Upperline Health buying podiatry practices.
Corporations of which they make money. Or securing positions for themselves as lecturers, or with malpractice companies,
Advance the podiatry degree ? Not a priority. Not even a thought. Remember, actions speak louder than words.
3. Continuing press releases highlighted by PM News about socks, shoes, blisters, and other minor foot problems. Actions speak louder than words.
4. The public display in PM News of whacko quako theories of biomechanics, disease, and philosophies. Read them and laugh then weep. Actions speak louder than words.
5. An average D.P.M. income equivalent at times less than a PA, pharmacist, physical therapist, auto maker line worker. Actions speak louder than words.
6. Seven years of podiatry “education” followed by an office filled with toenails to be cut, crap lotions and potions to be hustled, unproven therapies administered.
Actions speak louder than words.
7. Like a socialist country, a few will benefit greatly. Well, to be fair more than a few. But not the majority. Actions speak louder than words.
8. A podiatrist population which goes along with their plebeian status, maintained in serfdom never questioning why their lowly life and fate.
Paying the APMA, paying for useless meetings which line the pockets of the insiders. Joining worthless and powerless boards and “APMA affiliated” organizations.
Actions speak louder than words.
9. We watch our major cities decay. Crime. Homelessness. Self serving and self enriching politicians. Generations of people who are never provided the opportunity to advance.
And yet, the same people victimized by these failed policies continue to re-elect the same incompetent self serving power structure.
Sound familiar ? It should. Actions speak louder than words.
10. Sorry, have to go. I need to write my checks to ABPM, APMA, ASPS, my wound care organization, Presents, my laser lease purchase, my forensic podiatry group, AAPPM, my peripheral nerve specialty group, IPED, and of course my consulting fees to FABI, Rem Jackson and Jeffrey Lehrman. Then I’ll hit the office and cut those toenails, sell some creams, give some injections (ultrasound guided of course), and maybe an MIS tenotomy or two.
After all, actions speak louder than words.

Flatulence speaks louder than words. Podiatry was flatulence–Tom Fraudsen
