Why do commentaries about podiatry primarily address the TRADE in terms of “HOW MUCH MONEY YOU CAN MAKE”? I thought choosing a Health “CARE”! career is because you are intrinsically altruistic and because you have a scientific curiosity to discover the elements that cause disease. We need to see lots and lots of people of “color”–that’s deemed “progress” by the American and British empire (one of the same) dolts. THE STETHOSCOPES ARE AN OUTRIGHT BLANTANT DIRTY LIE . IMMEDIATELY THIS SHOULD BE A WARNING THAT THIS IS A FRAUDLENT PROFESSION. If you saw Dentists or Chiropractors with Stethoscopes you’d know something’s wrong. Don’t go to podiatry school if you want to be a DOCTOR, GO TO THE CARIB OR ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AND GET THAT MD. Do the math. It makes zero sense to go to podiatry school from an economic standpoint. Besides the cost of tuition you must deal with the declining reimbursement and deal with others doing foot and ankle care. Throw in private podiatry practice is dead and group podiatry practice will soon fade away, you will end up being an employee in the 150K rage gross, which is a horrible number. Once CPT coding finally disappears ( which is how Podiatrists make money, or use too) there will be nothing left in your pocket, expenses will out -weigh your income.
