What is progress?

If a PA does not need residency training in certain states to treat toenails, neither should podiatrists.
Currently, some podiatrists cannot treat toenails in some states throughout our country. They used to be able to get licensed with years of experience, yet now many states required residency training for a podiatrist to become licensed to even treat toenails. Do you really think this is progress? Every state should allow every podiatrist to treat toenails.

Give it up DAN. PA’s do REAL CLERKSHIPS with comprehensive REAL patient interacion and they don’t have THEY’RE OWN ORGANIZATION KEEPING THEM DOWN WHILE STEALING THEIR MONEY LIKE PODIATRY DOES. It’s a dirty trade.

You really have to laugh and ignore a profession that doesn’t know what the f it’s doing. I told you biomechquactics was a con to sell orthotics. Despite CLAIMS of “studies” there is no consensus among those “specialists of the foot”. Without going into the details I’ll just smmarize. Friedman, the podiatrists, says flexible shoes build your muscles. Like the Charles Atlas ads of yore? So, if you wear flexible shoes you’ll get big strong muscles and not get problems. Podiatrist Gurnick says no no no. twistable flexible shoes HURT your feet. They need to be supported. Who the f… Read more »

Cannot touch that ankle, cannot touch that rearhoof, cannot touch this….Danny Boy–maybe this will give you some inspiration for another podiatry song?

Danny Boy Chaskin could not possibly produce a song this freaken good. That song and dancing around in the OR is better then listening to Rem Jackson playing the piano and Guiliana, Weaver and Purdy singing “I Got the Podiatry Blues ……………. From my Head Down to my Shoes” at an AAPPM meeting.

See what I mean? When you have nothing substantive to say you laugh or do something silly. When you’re in a trade that is academically hollow and not recognized you show SHOE PICTURES AND TOE NAIL PICTURES. THESE TYPES OF MEN (ex- BARRY BLOCK) HAVE NO PRIDE, JUST UNJUSTIFIED EGO, NARCISSIM, AND GREED. ALL ATTRIBUTES OF A LOW LIFE SMARMY BUSINESSMAN. When you have no substantial medical education TOENAIL TREATMENTS ARE CONSIDERED SURGERY. Any P.A. can do this. This is NOT DOCTORAL level. It’s a little more than FIRST AID. It’s all relative isn’t it? When you dont know any… Read more »

Hoo boy…A TOENAIL BOO BOO? These are the heroes of a seven year trained NON FACS joker. She-yat, that’s front page news! The clown show goes on—mimic legit medical training with dozens of boards for saps, and (take it the way it is) MD/DO surgeons won’t let super jokers with the arrogance=ignorance do diddly. I can’t even imagine that the lifers have PRIDE (one of the seZen deadly sins) —reread the AOFAS member’s post—No change, not now not ever, and the chubby jokers in leisure suits starve for pastry. This shit keeps you pissed off at the obdurate bozos. The… Read more »

This is off topic, so here goes: Did any of you get a notice to get THE VACCINE? I’m no wiz re immunology—I think R is on this. OPERATION WARP SPEED…Sorry, I don’t have Dilithium crystals—this was rushed sans animal studies. Folks who’ve gotten it often report feeling like shit for a few days…like hangover for a few days. It was rushed, a politically motivated process? C’mon, give it some time. I suppose lifers will line up, the mainstream lots of guys are saying F it for now. Any opinions?

mostly bs. unless you’re elderly, morbidly obese/COPD, or have stage IV whatever, wouldn’t risk it. mRNA shit, new, novel, slapped together reallll fast. no thanks. Operation Hose Job

review your molecular genetics. mRNA is old science; well establish by REAL Ph.D’s. It’s not that it was “slapped together real fast” it’s that government bureauaracies SLOW THINGS DOWN THAT COULD BE DONE EXPEDITIOUSLY. One day the US will realize TRUMP EXPOSED THE SWAMP for its inefficiency. If soy boy pajama wearing latte drinking politicians existed during WWII we would have lost. The fractionation of society with the DIVERSITY MYTH along with self loathing of the US, it’s constitution, it’s founding principles and hate for capitalism has weakened our country.Trump provided a glipse of WHAT COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE… Read more »

Personally, I have little concerns about the saftey of the COVID vaccine any more than any other vaccine. I’ve read several articles substantiating that animals actually were used and the denyin that is fear monguering. Something the left seems to need to maintain power. I understand abs. titers and immune responses were first obtained in simian animal tests. I suspect tweaking and fine tuning will continue until only one injection will be required and the period of “not feeling good” will be mitigated and eliminated. I will definetly take the injection unless it’s given by a podiatrist. I’ll take the… Read more »

Sounds like podiatry. Notice how the vast majority of podiatricians featured on these vids: toenails, shoes, more toenails, and bunions. Where’s all that reconstructionistics, rearfoot, ex-lax fix, fancy pants surgeries by DMPs? Spare Rib’s calcanei were operated by foot and ankle ORTHOPODS. Thought DMPs were the “leaders” in their bogus fields. Oooops. reality bytes!

Spare and Bret and Prime Rib-Otsky’s 2nd choice if he needs revisional work on both feet and ankles would be Stanley Craplish. But notice he did not have a DPM do the initial surgery. And Bret LOVES PODIATRY as much as he loves Spare Ribs and Prime Rib cook by his wife, the Derm and bread winner in the marriage. But the Prime & Spare Rib has his pulse on the foot business as does Barry the nebbish, nerd and reject lawyer.

Wait! Lower Extremity Surgeons? You are kidding right? Except perhaps for Florida, most podiatrist can’t even touch the ankle or leg. A few lower leg in a few states, naybe. Lower Extremity means below the hip not below the knee. Sir, YOU ARE A PODIATRIST! Only a true M.D. ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON is recognized as “THE” GOLD STANDARD OF LAST RESORT SPECIALIST. Knowing ” mechanical manipulations” is a technicality. (think technician) The DOCTOR part comes with FULL SCOPE KNOWLEDGE of everything else. Do much blood transfusion in MAJOR TRAUMA? Seen much shredded thigh muscle and torn profundas? Understand the anesthesiologist when… Read more »

You old guys spent 4 years learning how to cut nails and had no “real” residency training in surgery. I understand how bitter you are but when it comes to foot and ankle surgery, the public turns to DPMs not MDs or DOs.

robert bijak

The PUBLIC doesn’t even know what dpm means so they don’t, and can’t, make an informed decision. Orthopedic surgeons out # foot technicians so they certainly do more, and how would you know what was learned when you were probably in elementary school? You do know that podiatrists don’t do a REAL residency just a post grad apprenticeship. Just like podiatrists aren’t really physicians either. Just Rhetoric invented by the podiatry crooks to keep the foot scam profitable. If it wasn’t for govt. $$ foot techs would be allowed in like the hospital barber to trim toenails. ONLY PODIATRY recognizes… Read more »

Thats why ortho groups hire us DPMs for their foot and ankle surgery. Call the residency what you want but hospitals accept us and give us surgical privileges.

ORTHOS also hire P.A’S, nurses, PT’s and dpm foot technicians. Hospitals accept you BECAUSE OF THE MONEY NOT YOUR NEED OR SKILL. You probably didn’t exist when HMO’S AND INSURANCE companies didn’t control hospitals. Once they came to fruitions circa 1980 hospitals were ECONOMICALLY STRAPPED and looked for revenue. It was decide TO USE podiatry as long as podiatrists were HIGHLY REGULATED, SCRUTINIZED AND KEPT UNDER AN MD DEPARTMENT. If you don’t know the history you don’t know the truth. Although things will probably never go back ,if it did, podiatry would be shown the door because they’re more of… Read more »
