PA’s really make more money than podiatrists. This is shocking. And they are full scope practitioners.

Has anyone else been following the Lapiplasty scam ? Constant ads on radio and tv as the “future of bunion surgery”. I thought MIS was the future. Ahhh what’s another $6,000. to fix a bunion. This has become the biggest podiatry scam since USFAS. Or TALAR Medical. Or PRESENTS. Or ABPM. Or biomechquacktics. Gosh we have so much to be proud of.
Now that PAs are doing orthopedic surgical residencies, who needs a limited license DPM?
In fact PA’s are much more popular than nurse practitioners in orthopedic practices. And the ratio is one PA for every orthopedic surgeon in the practice.
PAs are still lackeys. Then again, the young good lookin’ chicks who are PAs…different story. What the Fu*k wants some grisly, smelly, recycled DPw.t.f. near em?
If PA’s are lackeys what does that make the dpm who NEEDS THEIR PERMISSION TO CUT A TOENAIL OR CLEAR A PATIENT?
The DP w.t.f. is the PA’s bee-yatch.
Hi Eddy, Love your posts. I work with PA ‘s they are very independent. I know they work under doctor.
Podiatrists don’t even get to do orthopedic surgical residencies! You know PA’s ( many of whom are already getting doctorate titles) will all be getting them soon. Podiatry slips another notch down and all the APMA, CPME, and QUACK colleges offer is rhetoric, terminology, and promises while encumbered with a degree SO LIMITED P.A.’S OR MD’S are needed to be present when pods work in hospitals or outpatient centers. Check this shell game. Quack colleges give “scholarships” (which are much less than actual tuition) then get the money back when the student-customer pays their tuition with the money “given”!! Oh,… Read more »
Sleinstein made really good money clipping selling and smiling
To paraphrase Mr. Happy: “One can join a foot club and smile … ” PAs are paycheck workers. If that’s your thing, eh…go ahead nance around and be someone’s lacky. Young pods, sublet space from a chiropractor or MD surgical specialist (who’s tolerant). If you stick to forefoot shit, and cool it with the big shot foot and ankle surgery stuff ‘maybe’ you’ll have some control over your career. Podiatry is phased out of modern medicine, if you’re in it, you can spin it any way you want, but as we said twenty years ago. Lifers didn’t get the too… Read more »
Plainly put, there is no need for Podiatry as there are so many specialties that do foot and ankle care. Podiatry had a place, a nip and chip profession but lost site of its original purpose and morphed in to pseudo want a be MDs. THey use false advertising, steths around the necks, scrubs, specialties within in Podiatry etc. Internet has exposed the fraud. Even the universites got suckered into taking on a podiatry school ten years ago are now regretting it. Pod schools do not bring in the revenue they thought they would and the expenses have surpassed the… Read more »
Podiatry is a uniquely american scam. Profiteers, hustlers and hucksters. A remote uk style pirate colony. Grifters too.
“SELL SELL SELL”, you perfectly and TRUTHFULLY summarized the past, present, and future of podiatry. You’ll never read this in Barry Block’s PM propaganda shill for podiatry news. Podiatry has to exist on dishonesty because if the truth were known there would be even less applicants. Back in the 70’s when getting into Medical School was even harder (due to the Vietnam pressure) and when there were NO COMPUTERS OR CELL PHONES (or no microwave ovens!) the idea that a school existed where you could be called “dr.” and write a prescription HAD MEANING. In today’s world, where Carib schools… Read more »
Podiatric Medical school is better than foreign medical school if there are a shortage of medical residencies and surplus of podiatric medical residencies. A nursing degree I feel is better than both because this could lead to a NP degree.
You should be ashamed at how stupid you are. Perhaps an MRI is in order because you certainly are not mentating normally. SURPLUS OF PODIATRIC MEDICAL RESIDENCIES? ARE THERE PODIATRIC “MEDICAL” APPRENTICESHIP? They certainly are NOT residencies AND the quack colleges sell them as “surgical”. Even a FOREIGN M.D. opens many more doors than a foot technician certificate. There are some states where an FMG can practice while working for a residency and a license. Certainly even a FMG could FLY through a foot school curriculum and ths chool would be glad to have him. They may even give him… Read more »
It is only a matter of time that PAs ( now called physician associates) will have independent practice. With over 200,000 PAs in the USA, they are politically stronger than 15,000 limited license DPMs.
Don’t forget that’s clear money WITHOUT EXPENSES. Pods pay about 60% or more on expenses of their gross.
Dont forget lotsa taxes for endless war mongering and zellensekyyy
Chaskkin?
Did you catch it? Why did BARRY BLOCK POST AN ARABIC GREETING (“EID MUBARAK”) AT THE TOP OF HIS BLOG? LOOK just below the ALLEGED subscriber number. (btw have you UNSUBSCRIBED yet?). Not sure what these cultural postings have to do with podiatry’s falling behind P.A.’S except that the podiatry’s APMA and quack colleges have NOT FOCUSED ON REALITY. (as is typical of the mediocre) BLOCK does, though, interview himself and writes that pods should make at least $200 or more/hour. No No podiatry’s not a business, NOOO! Well, it certainly doesn’t sound like a scientific humanistic endeavor with that… Read more »
