Hyprocure sure has a lot of failure stories on the internet

The Hyprocure if you go to the website likes to talk about its outstanding successes.  Heck, just read the company sponsored literature and its amazing the inventor does not have a statue in his name.  Read all the testimonials, and you would be surprised it ever failed.  So, I got bored and tried looking for success stories that were unaffiliated on the internet, and you know what I could barely find any.  You know what I did find, a whole bunch of hyprocure failed stories.

Here is a person that created a blog to specifically talk about his recovery from Hyprocure surgery.  You know what the funny part is, he had to have it removed, read the last entry:

http://jphyprocure.blogspot.com/

Here is a person that had an EPF with the Hyprocure. This is some story.  Apparently the Podiatrist tried giving cortisone shots around the area of the Hyprocure.  What could go wrong?  Don’t worry he had it removed:

http://www.tendonitisexpert.com/failed-endoscopic-plantar-fasciotomy-reattached-itself-scheduled-for-open-pf.html

Here is a 19 year old woman who wants to sue her doctor and Hyprocure for the results:

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120524011244AA8GE63

Here is a message board that asks for people’s opinions on the Hyprocure procedure, one person wrote in, her Hyprocure backed out:

http://www.healthboards.com/boards/foot-ankle-problems/827831-help-about-hyprocure.html

To show I am fair here is a success:

https://hyprocure.wordpress.com/

This one I found funny, this women is clearly having complications and procedure did not work but she loves her Podiatrist so much she cannot see through it:

http://si-instability.com/my-hyprocure-surgery-recovery-update-thru-4-weekssurgical-followup-dr-gent/

Here is surgeon that did a Hyprocure on a patient with Cerebral Palsy, who is not very ambulatory.  This Podiatrist should be in jail for assault and battery:

http://hudakfamily.blogspot.com/2014/04/hyprocurefoot-surgery-with-dr-joe.html

8 months later and still having pain:

http://talotarsal.blogspot.com/

I do give the makers of Hyprocure credit. They have posted so many testimonials on the internet that are clearly tied to them but well hidden.  But in truly independent blogs it appears to have bad reviews.

Why did I write this article, apparently my article Hype for the Cure, which you can read here:

http://podpost.us/issue/march/article/hype-for-the-cure

Has been read by a couple Hyprocure victims, I mean patients.  They emailed me about their poor response, and all said they wished they read my article earlier

Hyprocure ruined my life. I have extremely flat feet and I went to a podiatrist in Milwaukee Wisconsin who said I was a perfect candidate. I was never under anesthesia, just local. It was the most barbaric procedure I have ever had. After weeks of recovery I went back for a checkup and the screw actually popped out and I had to have the procedure done all over again. When I did my second foot, he inserted the screw so far back he couldn’t even get it out. Again I was never under just local. He claimed I would never… Read more »

Military here. My wife and I were both recommended hyprocure for our flat feet and shin splints. We both got it done and a year later, I can barely stand still without feeling like my ankle is resting on sharp metal. Recently got both stents removed and the wifey is planning the same. Absolute sham

I would just like to comment that i had hyprocure done about six years ago. Initially it was great. My flat feet suddenly had arches and my body was properly aligned probably for the first time in my life. However, sometime over the last few years my arches have completely collapsed back to their original flat shape. I don’t have pain – other than twinges once in awhile. But it is rather disheartening that the “cure” didn’t last.

I agree with tree. Please do extensive research on this. And even when you feel you have done enough..do some more. Now that my ankle is trying to reject the stent that was placed, i’m being told my only option is to get a cotton osteotomy, evans calcaneal osteotomy, posterior tibial tendon repair, and gastrocnemius recession to fix my foot. (Youtube has videos of these). Issues i have are flat feet, pronation, talotarsal dislocation. Honestly i didnt have foot pain prior to this surgery.. my left calf would just burn really bad after walking alot. I think i would prefer… Read more »

Hi, I have read all the links & yours is the only one not loading. I think you’re being a bit unfair. I am in no way affiliated with Hyprocure, apart from personal interest, & I always am sus when someone is persistently negative & wonder what are their hidden motivations. At least two of the articles you’ve linked & slated as a negative review, actually the person is happy in the end. Sure an implant can go wrong & the body can reject it, or a long recovery period, but ultimately if the patient is happy, that is not… Read more »

These implants are likely only as good as the surgeon who puts them in place.

Tree, How are you feeling now? I received the hyprocure last year in both my left and right ankles. So far it is like night and day. There are moments with pain, but no level as it was. I’m 43 yrs. old and have always been active. I recently completed over 20 yrs. In Army with these feet with numerous deployments overseas. This procedure has brought me a new opportunity on life. Growing up I could never wear flip flops, or the shoes others wore due to lack of support. Second best decision of my life after marriage. Its surgery,… Read more »

Hi Tristan,
I have been researching Hyprocure for almost a year now and wondered where you had your surgery? I imagine that the procedure is better done by someone with a large volume of previous procedures. Were you used to wearing orthotics before? Thanks

Hi Tristan, Tree and others, I had arthroereisis done on my daughter’s flat feet(she was 9 at the time) :they looked like these: http://www.lowerextremity.com/flatfoot%20arthroeresis%20implant%20MBA%20new%20york , those slipped out after only a few months in her ankles – we suspect in swimming lessons, the uneven force on the top of her foot may have wiggled them out but we’re not sure. This was a decision we had made based on the fact my podiatrist had done the same inserts on his own daughter. In 2013 I found out about the hyprocure and asked the same podiatrist to learn about them, he… Read more »

I had hyprocure on my right foot in Dec2018 and my left in March of 2019. LOVE my feet now. I had almost constant pain and a hard time finding footwear. Right ankle took much longer to heal than left but I also had a bunionectomy at the same time so I had to keep limited mobility of my foot. My tendons on the right has a hard time adapting and it took lots of trial error to find the right neutral sneaker. I am almost 52 and very active including powerlifting 2x a week. My stents have held up… Read more »

I’m seriously considering it. I’ve been to so many different Podiatrists thru the years and no relief!!! I just spent $500 on custom orthotics and still no relief. My arches always burn and hurt especially after exercise.
