Podiatrists are still writing about a PLENARY LICENSE as if the idea is something new! What happened to the you’ll have your MD in 10 years. That lie has conned every graduating class since the 70’s and during all those decades only a few (like myself) are willing to place the blame WHERE IT BELONGS.. THE ORTHOTIC LOVING, MONEY LOVING, POWER LOVING POLITICAL LIFERS. As in many aspects of life, a small group of zealots control the WEAK AND INSECURE. Most pods are that. Until more confident, mentally sound men take control of podiatry it will remain an ill defined… Read more »

Who is this Blaine Shilling? I see an ad for a bunion straightener with the usual statements that the medical establishment is hiding this so doctors can get rich. The “licensed Podiatrist”, Shilling, is shown with a white coat with his name and M.D. after it! Also, he says he been in practice for decades. Are dirty podiatrists trying to make one last killing before they drop out? He says surgeons are angry that he’ll be taking away their business and he says bunionectomies cost $18,000! Ever get 18 grand for a HAV sx? And you wonder why MD’s and… Read more »

Should pod apprentices do research? Ans: it’s about 50/50 for and against. Nice academic profession. Half would rather have a cash register and shoe tree than a research credit. See? That’s the problem with podiatry. Half of the podiatrists went into it as a BUSINESS portal. The other half wanted to be MD Doctors but didn’t get in, yet they maintain the desire to make podiatry more medical than business.

Only a stupid, NON medical school accepted reject would show his PTSD hate with a negative vote on an inquiry about the sudden end to the Podiatry Post blog. What a collection of injured mental losers populate the foot business.

Anyone know a non lifer blog that’s operating. This one seems hit and miss now with no explanation to those who’ve kept it viable all these years?

Two points: 1. Start your own blog 2. Can someone help the poor podiatrist who is having his instruments stolen? Apparently, he is unaware of the concept of locks.

Are you implying THIS BLOG is dying, dead, or no longer effective? It has been effective for many years but there has been a sudden UNEXPLAINED (at least to me) CHANGE. I think WE (the contributors) deserve an explanation about its future before anyone begins a Blog that may be competitive or dilutional of this previously effective one. As such, your suggestion of starting my own blog is without foundation and premature. Kinda “podiatric like” don’t you think?

Robert, appreciate your concern. But, some people writing in are rude and demeaning. This is probably driving away people. Thank you

I can’t understand any of your comments. This blog has changed. I merely query what is happening and why it has gone from daily posts to many days of “SERVICE UNAVAILABLE”. I am not criticizing anything but the LACK OF INFORMATION ON WHAT’S HAPPENING AND WHAT THE FUTURE IS. If you can’t understand that you must have some other motive to MISDIRECT YOUR THINKING. As for “rude and demeaning”, I haven’t noticed any change since the inception of this blog. As I see it, pointing out the hypocrasy and personality quirks of those who choose money and power over academics… Read more »

Just answered “Scottie”, saw the comment go through, rechecked and it was gone. What’s happening here?
Dead, like the dpm compared to the MD
