A Glass Half Empty, or is it a Class Half Empty ?
Maybe ……. PM News will tell us the answer.
APMA can read it and weep. Matriculants decreasing from an already small pool. The pool of water is evaporating and drying up, and soon the remaining fish will die.
It is as they say, “what it is”.
Sure hope Krause, DeSantis, Frisch, Santi and King and the boys are making good money with TALAR Medical. And their other insider boys club, money grabbing back slapping self serving APMA scams. Not to mention the outgoing Executive Director. FKN scum bags is what they were and are. This is the result. You think we need more Ivar the Roth eyeball mycologists and Elliott the Udell’s ? And more Daniel Chaskins ? If that is what we are turning out, maybe podiatry is better left in the dust for the sake of public health.
The good news ? Looks like there ain’t gonna be no residency shortage.

It finally happened to my partner and myself. Received a letter from the internal medicine group 4 blocks from our office. They would send us patients. Hospital bought the group. Letter states, as of July 1 2024, all referrals will now go the ortho group which the hospital also bought. I would complain to the APMA but we quit them a few years ago. Of course they would have done nothing. This is the reality of Podiatry in the future, slow crawl to extinction.
They do nothing exactly except gavel clank, post minutes of nonsense, and answer scripted soft ball fake “interviews”
Like the boob tube, and “news” papers, podiatry selects for the lowest common demoninator. self included.

You are an old podiatrist. Didn’t they later become Jefferson Starship ?
We need some young foot and occasional ankle technicians to join this site.

Great, just great. Talk about rubbing salt into a wound, I just heard on the 6 pm news that a BRAND NEW OSTEOPATHIC MEDICAL SCHOOL IS BEING BUILT IN BUFFALO ABOUT 20 min from my home. It will start with 700 students! 700. Add to that, the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic medicine (LECOM) in Erie, PA. is only about 90 min away. All that opportunity and I ended up in podiatry. Where were they back then? We’ve already had an M.D. school in Buffalo since the 1840’s, and I can tell you from experience it is VERY SELECTIVE (read… Read more »
Brother Robert hope you are doing well. The APMA is a wonderful organization helping us as podiatrists. You should consider paying to join and make friends and socialize in this short snd stressful life. All it takes is a smile and you can make people happy. That is what this short life is about. Have you smiled today? Also one of the advantages of being a podiatric resident I think APMA membership is free. If there is a podiatric residency shortage not only will there be problems getting licensed how could a non matched podiatrist get free membership in the… Read more »
Your above, illogical, puerile statement are “REASON ALONE” to stay away from podiatrists, the APMA, and podiatry organizations. They are filled with delusional thinkers like you, and I for one, don’t want to be anywhere near your or hear you. Podiatry needs to be INVESTIGATED and I would suggest they start with you and your “opinions”.
Robert, please smile and be happy. Life is short and we should have fun. Would you be interested in writing a musical song about
being happy going to meetings socializing and having fun? Podiatry post is a place where we all can share our life experiences of being happy making friends and helping others.
MD psychiatrists office’s are the place to share your life experiences not the POD POST. THE POD POST is here to point out podiatry’s weaknesses and inconsistencies and offer ways to strengthen the trade and make it commensurate with the main stream.
If you want to make friends join the NEW YAWK OFFICE of the LONELY HEARTS (podiatrists) Club. Perhaps you can visit your friend Barry Block and look at SHOE PICTURES together and tell each other what a hidden gem podiatry is.
I never said podiatry is a hidden gem. However once one gets a license to be a podiatrist, The gem is so hidden because one has to appreciate all the fun you can have by spending your money to be happy by joining the APMA and state societies to have socialize, have fun and meet other podiatrists and vendors at podiatry meetings. The other hidden gem or secret is once one spends their money to join the APMA and state societies they can have the wonderful joy of encouraging other podiatrists to spend their money to join. Podiatrists meeting other… Read more »
It’s fun being a lackey, and smiling while driving to work in your 70s while eeking out a living. How many masks do you wear in your shitbox?
Robert ……….. That is a great suggestion for Danny Chaskin. I hope he takes your advice.
He has lots of loose screws in his head. Maybe a shrink can tighten some of these loose screws.
Robert, did you ever try EBL batteries?
AWESOME!
Perhaps other podiatrists will appreciate EBL batteries.
Student delusional sites: “Podiatry compensation is totally laughable. We go through 4 years of post graduate education to then do 3 or 4 years of residency… FOR WHAT? To make the same or much less then a PA or RN with only 2 years of post graduate education. This is not to overlook the value of PA/NP/RN. It’s a needed and great profession. However until we start to stand up for ourselves and get some lobbyist (like the nursing community and war industry has) our value will never go up. Okay we are replaceable? Let ID handle the Diabetic foot… Read more »
Too late, we told ya twenty years ago. Now podiatry’s that cripple sipping cheap booze in the alley panhandling for peanuts.
The podiatry crutch is broken. But as boy(?) genius says go out and smile, join the pansy clubs, make friends with muggers. Yeh, right.
Regarding treating the foot, a degree is not important but a license is. A NP license in NYS allows one to treat the foot and ankle. This a DPM license does not allow this for many. This if one is an experienced DPM why not go to nursing school get that Nursing degree and then continue and get a NP degree and give total foot and ankle care in states like NYS which includes in situ melanoma on the ankle for nurse practitioners. The ankle permit route my opinion is discriminatory and violated antitrust law against podiatrists board certified in… Read more »
Brain damage
you have as much value as the shit I took this morning. Congratulations.
Please be happy and spread the joy by spending your money to join the APMA and state societies. Let the fun and socializing with other podiatristts begin today. Please smile.
Are you ok Danny? AARP may have special programs that can help you
Please consider using EBL batteries today.
Podiatrists might benefit using them.
As for the economic and stresses etc… hardship you point to: it’s happening slowly but steadily, and as long as it’s slowly, we have the situation of a frog in gradually boiling water. Or the scorpion and frog analogy where in a few years all heck May break loose. Footloose
The wonderful thing about Podiatry Post is when I post something Seth permits it to be posted. I appreciate Seth for this.
Is there any other podiatric publication out there that allows podiatrists to post their opinions the way Seth does?
Certainly not in Barry Block’s banned and censored PM News. If you say anything to threaten his money flow he’ll ban you whether even though what you say is true. That’s a NYC money lover “from way back”. Insecurity is NOT MOLLIFIED WITH MONEY MR. BLOCK. Your physical and mental status are what they are. You can stuff your shoes with money but it won’t really make you taller or more honest.
And that clown still writes in at his still working, elderly age thinking he’s important or trying to help etc, go wear 3 masks, watch msm, and stare at outaggggeous shoe pics for “stress relief”.
Actually if one stuffs their shoes with money they actually become taller depending upon how many one dollar bills are in your shoegear. Think about this. Then once you are tall enough the money can be set aside to join the APMA and state societies to have fun, socialize and meet other podiatrists and vendors. Please smile and be happy.
One of the advantages of being a podiatric resident I think APMA membership is free. If there is a podiatric residency shortage not only will there be problems getting licensed how could a non matched podiatrist get free membership in the APMA???
To miss a free opportunity to see so many wonderful classmates, meet vendors, socialize and have fun is so unfair for unmatched podiatrists.
Another statement from someone who exhibits why podiatrists really are NOT at a DOCTORAL LEVEL.
In some circles to pay socialize is prostitution.
There is NO shortage of Podiatric residencies , infact, hospitals are short of Pod residencies because CMS gives the hospital 175,000 per Podiatric resident per year and the hospitals need the money, then you can run around for three years looking for surgery from the in patients. With applications to Pod schools at an all time low, sooner than later a Pod school will close.
Perhaps one may think It does not matter if podiatric Medical schools close. One posible advantage is there will be no podiatric residency shortage with people not getting matched and unable to practice in the states they choose to practice. The nurse practitioner model is better. But Nurse practitioners I do not think qualify to join the APMA and state societies. The problem is that there may be too many medical students graduating and a residency shortage for them. This getting matched in a medical school may not be ideal. One positive opportunity is the ability of a licensed podiatrist… Read more »
Even Chaskin can’t be this stupid, can he? Is this him?
Why not consider spending your money today? Please smile and be happy. Please be very proud. Let us spread the joy and happiness by encouraging others to join the APMA and state societies.
Is this him?
Robert, congraduations. This is the first question you should ask when you read these posts. Do all these posts look the same or are more than one person writing these posts?
Well, dipshit doesn’t write my posts. Nobody can be that friggin’ bird-brained accept “one” who begs you to smile and kiss ass to be a nurse. Pansy.
It’s Seth’s responsibility to ensure Truthfulness. Otherwise, this site is as useless as Barry Block’s prejudiced blog. Podiatry is such a sneaky dirty profession one never knows what the truth is.
What is truth for one person is considered non truth for another person. Once one joins the APMA by spending their money, they can attend meetings and bring any topic they choose up for a vote. This is why it is so important to spend your money to join so podiatrists can talk about whatever they want to. One important topic should be how to encourage others to spend their money so they can qualify for membership. Then more and more podiatrists will join. If more students attend podiatric medical school then as a student I think they can become… Read more »
It’s simply another money grab for these greedy pos. The hospital systems are also complicit in the fraud
Chaskinitis is a serious disorder. Take it seriously.
Yo Dihn. Not only is it a serious disorder, it is chronic. As in Daniel Chaskin-Itis, Dpwtf.
Oh yeah, that’s a podiatrist. Ck dr. Daughtry who tells you NOT TO WASTE MONEY ON ORTHOTICS IN STORES. Why not be honest and say don’t waste money on orthotics from podiatrists or GOOD FEET STORES. (what’s the diff?!) There’s those dam arch supports and their sales again. Always getting in the way of professionalism and medicine. Yeah, sure, podiatrist Tomczak with his dpm, md,(unlicensed)& ed. d. trying to defend orthotics saying they’re PROVEN with differential and integral calculus. I’d like to see that study. Let me see your transcript for Calc. (if u took it) It’s sales and competition… Read more »
They’re clowns in a circus Robert B.
Pathetic fools still working in their mid 60s, 70s, 80s. What does that say abt their wonderful beloved incredible poorfession? Of course chaskinn writes yet again with 4th grade responses. Look at butcher Biden, he’s still pretending to work. No self awareness.
Life is short, so is happiness. Why not consider spending your money today?
A bone stimulator (estimate $5,000) for a toe fracture ? Barry prints this stupidity ? And a podiatrist brags about doing this ? And the lisperer applauds this ? OMG !! Why not CT scans and a full body cast for a toe fracture. A toe fracture !! Throw this idiot out of the VA now.
SCumbags would applaud this, the same POS who thinking profiteering off of patient’s illnesses is ok
I get disliking APMA, especially under the do-nothing leadership of Jim Christina. With that said, the dearth of applicants to pod school has long been under the purview of organizations like the Council of Deans (AACPM). In fact, despite their failures, the AA will continue to waste money on student recruitment, unchecked, neither answering nor cooperating with anyone else in the profession. So while Jim Christina should never have been allowed to persist as CEO as he has, that doesn’t change the fact that APMA has not been charged with the responsibility of student recruitment. Let’s just hope, with the… Read more »
Perhaps podiatry schools could get the list of those REJECTED FROM P.A. school, tell them they’ve got a 2nd chance and give them one of those scholarships for suckers.
Get accustomed to BEING UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF P.A.’s as you do your minor, local, elective, minimally intellectual foot business. Let the PA tx the serious HBP, HYPOGLYCEMIA, ATRIAL FIB, ETC. ETC.. All you can do WITH THAT LIMITED LICENSE is Rx a BLAKE-ROOT “INVERTED” PLASTIC SHOE INSERT, CALL IT BIOMECHANICS, AND MAKE A BUCK.
Find someone with brains? that’s not how APMA works, it’s the next buddy that will get this job, of course after an “extensive search”.
And the 50-100k fee for the CON sultant to “find” the “right” candidate……………..
Great post Boston. What about feeding them? Six figure salary plus dinners!
Why would the APMA attempt student recruitment if a podiatric residency shortage might occur? Why not recruit students to become Nurse Practitioners so they have a much bettter chance of treating melanoma in situ on the ankle in states such New York.
Then again, I feel the purpose of spending money to qualify to join the APMA is to socialize and meet friends old classmates meet vendors etc….
In some circles paying to socialize is prostitution.
My opinion is prostitution is illegal in most states.
tell that to the APMA
What’s wrong with consensual intercourse between 2 adults? Are you a prude and or need constant corrupt govt intrusion? Do you enjoy being a typical simp and lackey?
Hopefully you mean of DIFFERENT sexes.
Yes, of course. It’s not surprising how clueless D is, another clown in the circus
Florida has such wonderful people.
Plus, Disney world has the Small World ride.
How many podiatrists enjoyed the music on this ride. Awesome music and unbelievable experience.
Please consider going to Disney and riding on the Small World ride today. Such fun.
In Florida open adultery is illegal. Podiatric physicians are supposed to comply with Florida law.
Opinions only
Chaskinitis is everywhere
Nevada prostitution is a regulated endeavor. However podiatry is barely legit anywhere…unless one joins the foot clubs and smiles. Cornhole Pottytruster D P M Lifer to the stars. One must be a PA or one must eat poo and use ass goo…Get the F away from the grownups weenie head.
Bobbleheads. Podiatrists in a room at a seminar. They look like a room full of bobbleheads. It’s like watching a Twilight Zone episode. It’s getting scary now.
Surprised that the GPAs appear a bit high (hmmm) also likely got the marks from 3rd and 4th tier universities-colleges. It is a brotherhood and sisterhood of losers. Maybe they should smile and hang out with “friends”…………
And Barry Block kisses the asses of all the members of the brotherhood.
Always has and always will ……………….
Block and the politicos are complicit in the pod charade (pronounce it cha rad)
