Am I the only one tormented by dpm INFERIORITY? Was at the Urologist this afternoon. (don’t worry when you’re my age you’ll be there too). The door opened and I expected to see the late 30’s MD board certified, fellowship trained Urological SURGEON who replaced my recently retired Uro.. Oh, but no. My opinion is a podiatrist knows more about foot function than a shoe salesman or a shoemaker. This is why if a podiatrist begins adjusting shoes patients might benefit. If needed one should consider visiting a podiatrist today.

Ped orthotists know more about shoes braces and orthotics than dpm foot technicians. Podiatry is a failed endeavor because it’s not the terminal expert in shoes, medicine, or surgery. Despite what the APMA says or Barry Block prints, podiatry is < an MD in every aspect and < an orthotists, prosthetist, CPed in shoes and orthotics. Podiatry is not a terminal specialty in anything but, perhaps, toenails. Podiatrists should NOT BE ADJUSTING SHOES! They should be a MASTER OF ONE, not half ass in everything…like Dermoscopy! In the meantime, if I may, I’d like to continue to counter the misleading ads that Block copies to make podiatry “look” good. Here’s a typical business over science trick pods use. Podiatrist Tumen smiles afably as he states MENOPAUSE CAUSES FOOT PROBLEMS (especially flat feet) We’ve all heard the STORY that Estrogen (as in pregnancy) cause ligamentous laxity that leads to flat feet. Has anyone seen a study? Estrogen obviously is systemic so this laxity would kinda make the woman look “saggy” and then REVERSE after pregnancy thus making it (if it is true) a TEMPORARY condition that DOES… Read more »

Things are slow in FOOT-VILLE but mighty Casey is at the bat. (aka Barry Block). He serves even a paltry of podiatric pretentiousness inorder to keep advertiser money flowing sans intellectualism or professionalism. Sigh, this is podiatry.
