Stay away from any foreign school with Out 100 percent residency match is my opinion. To “3rd year”. Purely by accident I was google mapping where I lived when I was in quack college in Chicago. As I scrolled the map I saw a “location” marked “MEDICAL COLLEGE OF THE CARRIBEAN”! WHAT? That wasn’t there when I lived in the Chicago suburb of Schiller Park. I searched around the site and found that NO MCAT was required, GPA 2.9 and >, 98% pass rate of the USMLE steps, and clinicals in various US or Canadian states (provinces in Canada). Like anything, YOUR ability and aggressiveness will determine how far you can go. Yes, you’ll have… Read more »

I know I have asked for advice before on another post but I’m honestly feeling down and out about podiatry and if I should continue the program or not. This hit me like a ton of bricks. The education at the school and in the clinic has been terrible. On one hand I feel like running away on the other hand I feel like what am I going to do next. I feel so lost. Never experienced this in my life before. Please offer advice.

Do you have an escape plan? ie- Carib school (try ST. I’m not going to say podiatry is hopeless. There are guys making money if money is your measure of happiness. Just realize you’ll be limited and not doing much medical stuff (like no systemic diseases). But you can try to sculpt a “medical-like life” if money isn’t everything. Dear 3rd year, Podiatry is a lost cause. It’s a rudderless, dilapitated ship destroyed by greed, conartists, shysters, and hustlers/hucksters. Rotten top to bottom. Maybe 3% of the fake “profession” has integrity. Those that have integrity, are counting down the days until retirement, or have left it because how can ANYONE do podiatry knowing it’s mainly a fraud?! Reinvent yourself. Do NOT do podiatry. It’s a scam. Go allied health school and get a real credential. Good luck, hopefully you can find a way to pay off those huge student loans. Not sure if I agree. I haven’t run into an MD (and I see plenty) whom I sensed did anything that was not primarily designed to diagnose or cure. Your experiences may be different and perhaps geographical.
