A Podiatry school in Erie will only be one hour away from the Podiatry school already located in Cleveland. Is it not geographically necessary?
Shouldn’t these schools have to prove demand for a school or need before being approved and shouldn’t that information be public domain?
It’s a puzzling decision. Also, Erie has one of the worst Podiatrist to population ratios in the country to practice. Imagine what it is going to be in 10 years.

Personal opinions to consider Before surgery is considered podiatry resident s should be taught to explain that if there is not too much pain before bunion surgery, after bunion surgery there may be complications, pain post op infection, the possibility of missing work, in an attempt to surgically correct a problem. Brings back memories in my “Podiatric Residency”…the residency director at my program, yelling daily..GO TO THE FLOORS AND FIND SURGICAL CASES ! This was in 2016. I am sure by now its very hard to find cases If we had problems finding cases back then.
