Somehow, in some manner, podiatrists have deceived themselves into believing they are important health care providers.
The ultimate self-deception was the APMA and ACFAS fiasco believing that the didactic and clinical education of a podiatrist was equivalent or the near equivalent of an M.D.
Thus the USMLE debacle. Which FAILED.
Look at the big boys and self declared experts at ACFAS.
Or the fat ass dummies at APMA.
They actually have come to believe their own bullshit.
They actually believe they are accomplished.
If making money by selling and huckstering, providing unnecessary or redundant services or surgeries is the goal, then yes, podiatrists and in particular podiatry leadership is indeed accomplished.
The reality is that you do not have the responsibilities of, nor the training nor the experience of an M.D.
You are trusted to care for feet, maybe, variously from state to state.
Heart, brain, cancer, life and death ? Real disease of any serious nature ? No responsibility. It’s as simple as that.
