Well, there is a reason for this; the increase in Diabetes keeps going up. The last 2-3 years the country has seen an increase in the prevalence of Diabetes. I only watched the first girl and didn’t need to go farther. She said I looked at it only because “I had to” not because I NEED to to be competent or because I want to learn vs. just get by. I am challenging the above post. Diabetic wound care will be done and is being done by PAs and NPs. WHY? The insurance industry and CMS knows what vendors charge and what Podiatrists fees are. All data stored and analyzed in their computers. PAs and NPs are, no. 1 …. 35 years ago podiatrists were listed as ancillary services. Podiatry was an adjunct to MD?DO care. Fast forward to today, podiatry is still an ancillary service, but now adjuncts to MD /DO and PA, NP. It has been a steady descent for a profession. Would you recommend a relative or friend enroll in a podiatry school?
