Is COVID 19 burnout going to cause a shortage of Podiatrists?

An interesting article has recently been published that indicates that COVID 19 burnout may lead to a shortage of Podiatrists and doctors.

https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/pandemic-burnout-and-the-predictable-shortage-of-doctors/

A recent study indicated that the US could see a shortage of 54,100 to 139,100 doctors by the year 2033. According to a survey by the Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation, 3 in 10 medical workers have weighed leaving the profession during the pandemic and 6 in 10 say the Pandemic has harmed their mental health. So the question is will the COVID 19 pandemic cause a shortage of Podiatrists.

What “burn out”? From what? Wearing 2, 3, 5+ masks for theater, virtue signaling zealots and neurotics. Screw that theater and mind control. You got to be kidding that DPMs are “burnt out” from work. Most were burn out mentally. They were mentally deficient. Just ask dumb Dan the imbecile who sings and thinks Crock is a great guy……………..yet still supports them with $.

They MUST advertize and hu$tle bc they are not needed. They;re redundant, ancillary, and helpers/middle men. That’s why they MUST sell themselves /market themselves to pretend they’re necessary and integral–like a screen door on a submarine. They sell fear, agita, and use sales gimmicks.

Podiatry is needed. The referrals for routine care will continue. PA’s will not debride thick nails. They have more important issues to deal with. Debriding nails in the nursing home will still be a large part of podiatry. As less and less pods can get surgical boards, foot surgery will be limited to in office P&A’s. Eventually this will have a crushing effect on the foot tech schools. Only students who want a future in Chiropody will apply. At that point Block’s publication will be mainstream.

ONE CAN ONLY HOPE. There are too many podiatrists now. That’s why podiatrists have to advertise in the paper and offer coupons for free exams. No one would miss podiatry if half the trade disappeared. There are plenty of PA’s and NP’s to do the work and they don’t need permission like a fake dr of the foot does. Foot surgery? Most of it’s elective and probably not necessary medically.
