Will a recession be the death knell for independent Podiatry Practices?

There has been a transition in the Podiatry industry from individual to group practices, as well as Podiatrists getting into medical groups and hospitals. This has left the independent practice somewhat a thing of the past. The idea that you can buy a practice then build it and sell it for a massive profit used to be the stuff dreams are made of, but would a recession caused by the coronavirus kill it?

The answer is probably. Any recession will likely dry up the credit markets making it harder for incoming Podiatrists to get loans to purchase a private practice of any value. Additionally, any interruption in income, whether caused by the coronavirus or recession, is going to hit independent practices the hardest. There is a good chance this is the end for private independent Podiatry practices.

What will happen to the realtors of the “health” “care” industry? The middle men, the hustlers, the little to no value smiling scum that plagued the system. The fraud, waste, and abuse club? What say you Harry?

They believed in its relevance and righteousness. The exceptionalism propaganda. The shining light of poorfessions. There was no reason to question its validity. Cognitive bias. The grand con.

How easy is this? Every day podiatry shows ITS NOT QUALIFIED AS A DOCTORAL LEVEL FIELD TO GIVE IT MORE RESPONSIBILITY! Stupid podiatrist TIETLEBAUM DEMONSTRATES NO KNOWLEDGE OF VIROLOGY, IMMUNOLOGY, OR CONTEMPORARY PUBLIC HEALTH yet he calls himself some kind of a DOCTOR. He says we have the cure for Coronoavirus IN our body. Tell that to the DEAD! There is a lot more to the immune system MISTER TIETLBAUM THAN YOU LEARNED IN QUACK SCHOOL. I won’t begin to school you. Ask for a refund from your quack school. He says we have antibodies and says they should be… Read more »

Private practice is the vestige of the 20th century. In the new millennia the trend is groups. Groups can be controlled and control is the whispered wish of the “progressives”. Whether we’re talking politics or podiatry there is a NEED TO CONTROL embedded in some personalities. These aggressive tenacious personalities gravitate toward “leadership” (actually dictatorship). They are less concerned with getting things done than FORCING YOU what to do. This is evident in the APMA, CPME, AND FOOT SCHOOL FRANCHISES. Though independent practice is still prominent in podiatry it is weakening and a number of technicians are having difficulty getting… Read more »
