I’m always a little uncomfortable if someone calls me… “dr”. Yeah, we all got one… but NOT a REAL ONE. It’s embarrassing to me when someone hears me called dr and thinks that I’m an M.D. of some sort. My embarrassment, and THEIR disappointment, AFTER HAVING ME EXPLAIN THAT I’M OF A LESSER STATION is not worth the momentary exuberance and exhilaration of the initial “dr” adulation. Podiatrist Bijak

Oh? Did anyone catch the incomprehendability that Jeffrey Galitz was an M.D. trained neurologist first who later became a podiatrist so he can start a wound care company? Anyone see anything unbelievably fishy in this story? MD’s going to podiatry school?!!! Was he a U.S. MD grad? It did say he COMPLETED A NEUROLOGY RESIDENCY so he must have been licensed. I have been a part-time Podiatry Post stalker for a while now. Dr. Bijak is able to articulate (certainly much better than I) my feelings on this Podiatry profession. Both this article and his commentary resonate with me. I am ENTRENCHED in this profession. I do not feel there is a way out or really an alternative pathway at this point. At least for me.
