Generally if statins, atorvastatin (Lipitor), simvastatin (Zocor) aren’t brining LDL down adding a PCSK9 inhibitor (Ezetamide), which requires extensive documentation that LDL isn’t moving down is in order. Lots of folks are still on the fence with statins and musculoskeletal problems. Interesting stuff—You’ve got to know what meds your patients are on!
