I bet everyone reading this is thinking of course it will. The APMA would not let Podiatry not be covered in a universal health care bill. Well why would it not be covered? The bill is going to be expensive. New York is going to have to figure out how to pay for it, and that might mean some cuts here and there. Oh and there is this: one of the ways they are going to cover it is by moving the money out of Medicaid. Guess what, in NY Medicaid doesn’t cover Podiatry. My New York friends should probably not assume they are going to be covered but they will, and maybe not realize they are out in the cold until its too late (it might be already).


Why in the world of modern medicine would any conscientious arm of government allow podiatry to drain an already overloaded medicaid system?
