Robert, if someone has pvd a stethoscope is useful to listen for a femoral bruit. If a podiatrist practices with a physician they both can listen for a femoral bruit and learn from each other. One caveat is to have the patient laying down so there is no pressure from the inguinal ligament on the femoral artery. There just might be more to a podiatric exam than only palpating pedal pulses. When someone practices solo it is difficult to learn from a physician. Ideally one can practice with different physicians to get differences of opinions. Medical groups just might be the future.

My opinions are: I never examined the femoral artery of a patient but made a referral to an MD to do so. However, Performing physical evaluations in conjunction with podiatric treatment the words physical evaluations do not limit such evaluations only to the foot. This is why even palpating the politial vessels are within scope regarding treating a foot condition such as an ulceration. If there is a problem above the foot That is missed upon a podiatrists physical exam, that podiatrist then might not give an appropriate referral for treatment of that abnormal physical finding during a physical exam… Read more »

Mostly NONMEDICAL. Mostly self caused problems. Mostly non constructive solutions. Year after year decade after decade PODIATRY JUST CAN’T GET IT RIGHT! Why? Dumb and DISINTERESTED CONTROLLERS, that’s why. Armstrong, who has a “talent for getting money and lecture fees” mostly based on PRODUCTS (tissue products or hardware) designed to be SOLD. Each product inferred to be “the” limb saver. Through con and cunning he got another grant to investigate a “miracle” boot that will transmit data for those living in the “boonies”. How much do you think that will cost and WHO DO YOU THINK WILL PAY FOR IT?… Read more »
Danny boy and co giggle at this for “stress relief”.
Any wonder why podiatry is a bleeping bad joke?

IF a dog chases its tail fast enough it will at least gain a glance at it if not actually catch it. Poor Stupid Podiatry is, after 110 years, just barely gaining a glance at it. Well, despite cries for honesty and truth from Pod Posters, and similar older blogs, we see a slit in the clouds of lies when a few pods in Block’s prejudiced blog pointing out the INEVITABLE TRUTH, that podiatry and it’s premises are WRONG. Amol Saxena, despite his rubbing elbows with real doctors, says PODIATRY is NOT MENTIONED IN 500 PAGES of medical considerations. How… Read more »
“A slit in the cloud of lies.” Good one, vivid imagery. Mind if I lift it?
I hereby permanently and irrevocably now and forever dissociate any ownership, authorship, or originial creativity to that line and make it free and clear forever to Eddy, the MD, to use as he wishes to the end of time and beyond in this world or the next forever and forever, Amen.
Thanks.
How mentally sick does Chaskin or a Chaskin like lifer have to be to vote negative on the word Thanks?
These men MUST BE REMOVED FROM PODIATRY, TOTALLY and they should be examined for fitness to treat the public.
Robert, I have a newsflash for ya. My opinion is most podiatrists put helping their patients over making money. Helping our patients are what podiatry is all about. When we graduated I remember we all took an oath to help our patients. Robert, please take a close look and see all the podiatrists around you. After looking and rethinking my guess is you will agree that podiatrists are more concerned with helping others. This is what podiatry our great profession has become. A profession dedicated to the good of foot health and making our patients happy. One example of how… Read more »
An oath is a joke to most. They’ll say ANYTHING to maintain their position or take advantage. Today Morality is diluted and the honor it once represented has been replaced by SELF SURVIVAL. I have looked at podiatrists Mister C, and the COMMON DENOMINATOR for the past 40+ years is that podiatry is hard to make a living in. Whether its’ keeping “the other guy” OFF a hospital staff, get him investigated, or bad mouth him to a patient that YOU are now seeing, limit his privileges, or bad mouth “his board”, podiatrists universally look out for themselves first. After… Read more »
Bc those dpwtfs were c students from 3rd tier stools.—schools.
How can anyone think an oath to help others is a joke? Does this make sense? I always thought most podiatrists care about the oath they took to help patients.
Okay, there might be a few podiatrists that do not take the oath they took to take care of patients seriously.
IF the “podiatric” “oath” meant something there would NOT BE so much resistance to improve the poor INCOMPLETE podiatric education. (“if you wanted medicine you should have gone to medical school!”) Podiatrists (especially those in “academia”) would be clamoring for equality and parity NOT and not saying, “yeah we can make a good living and be home by 5, or the other crutch, the MD orthopod’s don’t know (or forgot) all that general medicine anyway and never uses it so why should we? If YOU TRULY wanted to be everything you could be for the patient you’d be as FULLY… Read more »
Robert, did you ever see a dog chase it’s tail? Was the dog happy or sad? What did the dog have for breakfast? Let’s open up a discussion about dogs chasing their tails and what they had for breakfast.
Let us also classify if the dogs that chased their tails did so when they heard music playing.
Just on Fox News a minute ago: I’m DOCTOR ZHANG, DOCTOR OF PODIATRIC MEDICINE, AND I RECOMMENED “BALANCE OF NATURE VITAMINS”.
Money vs. Truth. Ans., MONEY! DIRTY PODIATRISTS!
Does “doc” zhang co-own hung lo’s oriental food emporium in da Bronx?
Ask levey, he loves Chinese food.!
What happened to him—been quiet for sometime. Thought he’s in floridah with all the other mothball oldies.
You must be referring to Leonard Levy, the osteopathic school Dean, that passed away.
Why is it that dpms who couldn’t be accepted into an osteopathic school as a student are hired as honorary “deans”? What’s the “connection”?
Oh – sad, no more Chinese
Robert, maybe they recommended the product because they think it helps some patients who need it. After all didn’t podiatrists take oaths to help their patients the more important question is does the product have an APMA seal of approval?
The APMA seal of approval means about as much as your “credentials” in “podiatric” dermatology and that’s ZERO!
Good pt.
why isn’t mr Zhang talking about general tsos chicken instead of general tsos podiatrick vitamins. Lenny Levee would know!
According to Mr. Chaskin Zhang took an “oath” (TO MAKE AS MUCH $ AS POSSIBLE)
That « oath » means Jack shit. It’s about self survival dipshit Danny.
Noncompete thrown out by FTC today! 120 days to be effective. Business commerce wants to sue to stop. How about APMA joining in??!!
I don’t know if we should laugh, cry, or be furious at the INCOMPETENCE AND QUACKERY IN PODIATRY. Mc Clean is pushing orthotic sales saying they’ll cure knee problems. Uh? Are you even licensed to even speak about knee pathology? NO you’re not. Even if quackthotics did help, WE HAVE NO LICENSE TO TREAT OR DX KNEES! Thanks APMA. Want to know why a PA can treat knees and a dr of wtf can’t? Let’s look at Udell. He crows that he was a big shot in podo politics yet ASKS WHAT ADVERTISING WOULD BE EFFECTIVE TO INCREASE BUSINESS. What? you mean I can not hire a 3 year residency trained DPM for 60 k a year and then he goes across the street to open a practice. LOL. Another nail in the coffin of Podiatry and medicine in general. Lets do an IQ test, who wants to go to Pod School for 300k and 7 years for a limited license that pays you less than a union high school janitor? ( of course if you have no conscience you can make at least 150K).
Ask Danielle Simpskin. She’s happy to pay lotsa dues and fees and promote a doomed plane.
Kalifornia Firefighters make over 300k-400k with overtime, massive pensions, health care etc etc . School teachers make over 100k too. Who’s the idiot?
Not to mention many fkg on the job.
Many cally « firefighters » caught with pants down while on « duty. »
Why the down click? Reality too much for your soyboy ears? One of safest jobs on the world. They have “great “ propaganda /marketing—-thanks union
See? Barry Block and PM News don’t have to worry about opposition. Like all liberals and lifers Block just BANS and CENSORS their opinions. INSTEAD of reasonably listening to other opinions they put a blanket over their head and loudly CHAN’T “blah blah blah” drowning opposite opinions out. Dirty children brought up by similarly propagandized parents. Definitely NOT DOCTORAL QUALITY THINKING but, then again, who said the dpm (wtf) is a real “doctorate” anyway? With a thousand colleges and universities in the U.S. only 10 or less have a wtf program! Hardly a recognized degree. No wonder its credits DON’T… Read more »
There’s a reason why you’ll never, ever hear of the Johns Hopkins School of Podiatric Medicine….
…and there never will be, “Reality”. I asked Siri how many colleges and how many Universities are in the U.S.. Reply: 4,300 Universities and 5,300 colleges. How many foot school are there? 10. Some with <100 customers. so…that's a total of 9,600 colleges and universities. 9,600 into 10 = 0.00104167 (about a thousandth of the higher education venues have a foot school!) Well, that's about the importance and need of a dpm certificate in the U.S.. Naw! The APMA is "working hard" and we're almost, nearly "just like". Don't look for that "John's Hopkins school of podiatric medicine soon. In… Read more »
Robert, if someone has pvd a stethoscope is useful to listen for a femoral bruit.
It’s illegal in New York for podiatry to exam that far up?!!!!
Actually performing physical exams in conjunction with podiatric treatment is within the statute. Check the wording of statute. Also
Taking blood pressure in conjunction with podiatric care is in scope.
medical assistant __who are unlicensed __high school grad__ can do that too mr chasskin
If there is a problem above the foot That is missed upon a podiatrists physical exam, that podiatrist then might not give an appropriate referral for treatment of that abnormal physical finding during a physical exam… Read more »
Scope APPLIES ONLY TO LIMITED LICENSED NON DOCTORS
You’re supposed to know what you’re doing BEFORE you open up your business. That’s not the time to learn the basic from an ACTUAL DOCTOR. How come the MD knew what to do? (rhetorical question)
Robert, from approx 1986 till approximately 1991 I obtained in hospital training for approximately 4 years although not a certified training program by assisting in cases, scrubbing with other podiatry residents etc… I was also podiatric attending of record being assisted by other podiatrists The practice of podiatry involves continued practice and study as well as the upgrading of skills. New procedures treatments and diagnostic modalities are being upgraded not only regarding podiatry but most of the medical field of specialists. Podiatry attendings learn from one another. There is nothing wrong with learning and working with MDs so long as… Read more »
Are you ok?
None of what you say is legally recognized by STATE AUTHORITIES and that’s why YOU’RE LICENSE IS LIMITED. LIKE ALL LIFERS YOU PATHOLOGIALLY AND INCORRETLY RATIONALIZE THE TRUTH!
Hospital “training” DOESN’T MEAN A FORMAL RECOGNIZED PROGRAM DOES IT Mr. C? Therefore, it is NOT RECOGNIZED IS IT?
I have been recently teaching some MD’s and lecturing to them. We all learn from each other. It is so important to learn from each other. For example a bio biomechanical exam shows hip pathology as a cause of an abnormal gait that also needs an MD to refer to an orthopedic MD. The non orthopedic MD can learn from podiatrists regarding physical evaluations in conjunction with podiatric treatment about location of an arterial blockage with a clinical exam. MDs in medical school are exposed to so much knowledge it is difficult to know the basics in every specialty of… Read more »
WRONG AGAIN CHASKIN. The “BASICS” ARE REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND TESTED FOR IN AN M.D.’S license. You forget that the MD students have a CAPACITY TO RETAIN AND UNDERSTAND FAR BEYOND YOURS. I’m sure from YOUR PERSPECTIVE it seems impossible. That’s why they’re MD’S and you require a P.A.’S permission to trim toenails.
Chaskinitis is very serious.
Robert, I have intimate knowledge of what medical students and physicians know and do not know because I converse with them about once a week for years. Some know a great deal more than me about general medicine, and I learn from them and have been learning for years in addition to reading texts. My opinion is that the medical students and physicians generally are much more knowledgeable than the nurse practitioners.
When are you going to learn that MEDICINE IS NOT A “DO IT YOURSELF” LEARN AT HOME PROFESSION? When will you learn that NO LICENSING BOARD RECOGNIZES ANYTHING YOU THINK YOU LEARNED? When will you learn that you are NOT SPECIAL, NOT CHOSEN, NOT A DOCTOR, JUST A LIMITED LICENSED FOOT TECHNICIAN Who can’t touch a wart on the ankle in New Yawk?
Yes, Conman, Shaskins believes his own bull sht. It’s perhaps mental illness or senility. Opinions like a soy boy.
Holy sht, think he believes his own feces.

Also this is copied from the NYS law The practice of the profession of podiatry is defined as diagnosing, treating, operating and prescribing for any disease, injury, deformity or other condition of the foot, and may include performing physical evaluations in conjunction with the provision of podiatric treatment.
Please consider paying money to qualify for membership in the APMA and state societies. Remember to smile and be happy.
Go ahead and check the femoral artery of a woman, for what ever reason you contrive, and see how the connotations and the denotations of that law differ.
You’re teaching MD’s? Now that would be funny. Do you have anything in COMMON with them?
He,s a real nowhere man………….
